In February this year, the TV Soap Neighbours moved to Channel 5. AS part of this, they wanted 300 brass players to attend. Some of Hitchin Band went along!

For the first time, the Herts Garden Show was moved to the early May Bank Holiday weekend.

Another first - it didn't rain!!! Ok.... we had a few drops but no actual rain!!

Knebworth and a Bank Holiday without rain.... global warming???

On a warm (for the time of year but still a bit chilly!) January weekend the band took it's first ever trip to the Butlins Mineworkers Festival in Skegness.

We had an enjoyable weekend including taking part in the World Record setting "Big Blow". This set the record for the largest Brass Band in the world!

On Saturday 21st July Hitchin Band undertook a Sponsored Blow in Hitchin Market Square. The successful event was part of the Hitchin Festival.

In October, KKM Sponshem band from Hitchin's twin town of Bingen, Germany came for a weekend visit.
